This year Greg Deering will join me at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas next weekend, Sept 18th - 21st. Greg will have his tool kit and he enjoys talking with all banjo players and helping with their set-up needs and questions.
It doesn't matter to him what brand of banjo you need set up, he is willing and able to help you with it and is glad to make your banjo playing experience more fun.
So bring your banjo, join the contest for three custom made prizes and visit us in the North Grandstand at the Deering Banjos display. This is our 50th year in business, come help us celebrate. We hope to visit with you next weekend.

Why was the National Flat-Pick Championship scheduled for the same weekend as the IBMA World Of Bluegrass event?

Because the IBMA couldn't get their normal time at the Chattanooga Convention Center this year but it will not conflict with Walnut Valley in the future. With many players attending IBMA this may be a great opportunity to compete in the National Banjo Championship!

Thanks, it has been lots of fun seeing old friends and making new ones. Greg has been busy all weekend setting up all kinds of banjos to make them play better. It's all about the magic of music.
