What?...well, earlier today, in a session with some very fine OT musicians...a need to cough...more than little...came over me...the fiddle tune we were playing just hung on the G chord forever...so I was able to cover myself and cough away...I found that I really didn't need anything more for that passage than the open notes on the banjo...so I clawed away...lots of thumb on the inside strings...and just let my left hand hang at my side when I didn't need to cough...and it worked so well that every time that part came around again I would just let my left hand hang down and the fiddler who started the tune gazed at me with a beaming smile...right hand liberation my friends!
