I'm confused. Isn't the BC 350 an open back banjo?

@ Billl Maybe depending on the maker but would kind of prefer a banjo with 11" head .

Yes it is an open back .
Looking for something a little lighter weight maybe with 11" head and a tad less sustain and volume .
Ive played the endless setup , head , string , bridge game before .
Ive never had much luck in making a banjo charge its personality.

OK. I get it.
I have the same banjo. I use Nylgut strings. Mine still needs a chunk of foam or something between the head and coordinating rod to make a sound I like. It's not my favorite banjo, but it works. I've thought about trying the highly touted banjo bolster, but then what am I gonna do with all those unmated wool socks?
Good luck with your trade!
