I just recently retired and taught myself Clawhammer banjo about 15 years ago and have been playing guitar for over 50 years . Looking for someone local where we could take turns playing rhythm guitar and banjo together . I have a nice large screened in porch which is great for porch picking . Thanks

Might want to reach out to Brett Ridgeway. Came across him when I picked up the mountain dulcimer this past year. He gives clawhammer lessons as well and I think he is in Industry now. He may know more folks local to you given the wide network that giving lessons brings. If you wanna travel down towards Pittsburgh - may want to check out a jam. Every 2nd wednesday at east end brewing and most sundays at the starlite lounge. There is one from 10-noon this saturday at the Bloomfield farmers market as well.

I'm sure you know about the Anderson family and Echo Valley. They might know someone. Great to hear from Beaver Falls. My Dad is from there. I haven't been in many years.

As Pittsburg is ony about 40 minutes from you and there are many great old time musicians there, I'd suggest that you might go to a jam there to meet some of them. Here are some sites you might use to find people.
