Made a banjo for my sister-in -law's kids, when they were in grade school.
And here's a picture of one of the KIDS' kids, her grandson, growed up to a fine young man, playing it all these years later.
Made it before his dad was even old enough to DATE a gal, let alone MARRY one and crank out a kid!
Makes an old man feel good, knowing some of his early work survives!
Also nice to know that a salad bowl didn't die in vain.

Good to hear Mike.
Just yesterday a [run-of-the-mill ??] Hohner Marine Band mouth organ [Key of "G"] that I'd gotten as a Christmas present as a kid got passed on to a grandson. He's not had any music lessons, but within minutes [maybe seconds??] he was producing stuff that sounded a l-o-t more like music than anything I ever coaxed from it.
I guess where there's life there's hope. ![]()
