Looking for pretty much anything, doesn't need to have a resonator.
Hate to lowball, but $275 is all his budget will bear.

Have you shopped goodwill lately? This baby has your name on it

WEnt to Goodwill, can't sign in.
EIther I had an account so long ago, I can't remember it, and they don't want to remind me of my account name and password, or SOMETHING!

Are you looking for a guitar banjo or or a 5 string with an extra bass string (5+1)?
mike gregory - Posted - 07/03/2025: 02:58:03
Banjitar or Guitjo, they call 'em.
Guitar neck, banjo body.

I have a nice old Weymann open back with a big 14’ pot and no tone ring… but I’m not selling it! Love the sound…
I think for a good guitar banjo you need a bigger pot of the standard 11’ banjo pot… at lest 12’

I agree, Paolo.
However, this banjitar is not for me. And if you WERE selling yours, the relative I am trying to help find one, probably couldn't afford the shipping, from Italy to here.

Curses!
Tried for an hour or so last night.
Opened the ad again, today, and with just a bit over an hour to go, tried SO HARD to satisfy the requirements of their Evil Robot.
Called a number, per their evil robot, got a live person, near here, who gave me another number, that went to the Evil Robot which handles that other person's voice mail.
Looks like it ain't happening for me nor the relative who I am TRYING to help out.

Mike… that SUCKS! Especially for someone like you, who loves fixing up $20 banjos. I've been shopping there ever since they started their online store over 20 years ago. Never had a lick of trouble. Lots of fixupable banjos there, for pennys. Plenty of 6 string banjos show up from time to time. And keep checking, because they add more almost every day. Same for ukes and guitars etc.

Mary opened an account, placed a bid.
Bidding closes Friday, July 4, at 4 PM, so she'll give it one more shot.
But, at least we HAVE access to their site.

A Dean Backwoods is a bottlecap 6 string. Although these go for $369 new and there are a few used out there in your price range.
