I guess I’m just nosey but have been curious , after shop closed, actually before even it was being looked into to have someone do warranty work etc for customers
Personally I thought someone would try to buy it, luckily mine is in good health, but if someone does have a warranty claim or concern, are they just hosed ? It’s been a few years now hasn’t it ?

Good question. Unfortunately, the only one who can answer it is Stelling himself. He's is (or was) a member. Maybe he'll see your post and give us the answer we need and want.
I presume there are luthiers out there that can take care of a Stelling banjo's needs whether or not they do any warranty work for Stelling. So, there is help out there if you need it. It just may cost you whether your banjo is still under warranty or not.

The website says:
"We are assembling a list of banjo shops for repairs in a future notice."
I think if someone is in actual need of warranty service there is no harm in calling or writing to Stelling at the number and address provided on the site to ask about their options.

Gotcha Ken I figured that
I would have just thought a name or two would be listed on website
Geoff and company made outstanding instruments so I doubt there’s many issues at all
Mine is older, and not original owner
If I purchased one new. In last few years I know I would be more comfortable knowing who to call and not have to hunt or bother Geoff in his retirement
That’s all

Eventually cannibalism will probably become the only way to find replacement Stelling parts. If you seriously plan to keep a Stelling for a long time as a daily player I'd recommend you buy two (as a donor for future parts). Expensive but there may be no other alternative.

only thing i ever saw happen was a Stelling tailpiece broke at the bend. so if you come across one, scoop it up in case the rare event of a breakage. Prucha would be your best bet for replacement parts. or better yet, buy a Prucha and play the wonderful Stelling sparingly.

I guess you can assume that a Lifetime Warranty (if indeed that is what they had) could also mean the lifetime of the company that produces it. In that case, it would mean that you are on your own regarding repairs, whether Stelling's fault or not.
