So many versions of this wonderful tune, and I'm having trouble learning it. I'm a fan of Walt Koken's version and Adam Hurt's version - both of which are fantastic. Other versions sound quite different. Can anyone offer guidance, or simple tab, that could put me on the road to getting it? Comments and advice much appreciated. Thanks!

Thiss tune was a TOTW in 2012. Janet posted both clawhammer and 3-finger tab that you may find helpful.

Here's a link to Janet's tab from her web site, My Banjo World - Indian Nation--Burl Hammons, TOTW, 7-6-12
A search for "Indian Nation banjo" offers links to other tabs as well.

I played it on a gut-strung banjo down in "Briggs" tuning (dGDF#A)... Like "standard C" (gCGBD), but a fourth (5 frets) lower.
