Hey everybody!

This kind of snuck up on me again but I managed to think of a seasonally-appropriate tune to share with you all.

I got this from my friend Joe Burdock and it's a slightly different version of Turkey in the Pea Patch from the common one that I think most people know from Buddy Thomas.

This one comes from the playing of Jimmy Wheeler, a fiddler from Portsmouth, Ohio. Here's a recording of him playing it: fieldrecorder.bandcamp.com/tra...pea-patch

I don't know a ton about the tune, specifically, but you can read a bit more about Wheeler here: fieldrecorder.org/first-record...-wheeler/

Anyway, it's in D, nothing fancy other than some fun alternate string pull-off practice if you want to get more of the melody.

Hope you enjoy it!

Great job in the video, Adam!  Being a fan of Buddy Thomas, I arranged tabs to compare Buddy with Jimmy Wheeler (they knew each other and at times played together).  A few of the measures are the same or very similar, but there are definitely some differences in their melody. Still, they go together very well. I think I may have mixed up the A and B parts, as the coarse part comes first and the fine part last in their recordings, but perhaps the arrangements will help someone anyway. :)
