Hey all,
Thought this might be of interest to those who need to amplify with loud bands. In my case drums, electric guitar.
It's taken me 5 years and countless pickups to get a good BANJO sound.
The set up is an EMG pickup at 40% plugged into a Fishman DI AND a standing SM57 at 60% BOTH plugged into to my Fishman Artist through to the PA. No feedback, sounds like a banjo! Heaps of volume. I use the Artist as my stage monitor.
I've used just about every pickup out there and this is the best sounding, least problematic solution to date.
Hope this helps :-)
Cheers,
Pete
