I saw this antique wooden NeedleCase for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
Made me think of one of my favorite old tunes. NeedleCase by Sam McGee who played it on the banjo two-finger style. I learned a clawhammer version from Kate Brislin at the Tennessee Banjo Institute many years ago.
The recording is from my ~HOT~ Biscuit Jam cd and features Elizabeth Pearson playing two-finger style banjo (and bass), Shad Cobb on fiddle, and Jack Pearson on mandolin.

I have been down in the dumps today for no valid reason. Your music sent my spirits flying. My eyes are smiling again.
Thankyou.

Each of John's CDs has tunes and musicianship that reawaken the senses and make the day better.

Was just teaching this to a student this week. One of my favorite tunes also.
