Al Murphy, Iowa City fiddler, has devoted his life to his music. This is the story of his firsthand effort to save the tunes of his favorite Iowa and Missouri fiddle player friends. Heretofore undocumented, these tunes can be passed down to future generations of fiddle players, in the true folk tradition. Told in his own words, it's a fascinating story of his travels down life's musical road.
