Hey Folks,
For the past several months, I've been transcribing the entirety of Omer Forster's iconic recording of 'Flowery Girls.' This has resulted in a 5-page tab that I am debuting in a two-hour Zoom workshop this Sunday, June 9th from 3-5 pm Eastern. The best part? You can sign up even if you won't be able to watch live. All registered participants will receive the tab and a two-hour video for perpetual access. After the event, the tablature will be available for purchase in my twofingerbanjo.com store. Our workshop will focus on discussing a practice plan for this massive piece of music. I will discuss position-based playing and how to divide the arrangement into approachable chunks that are possible to practice. My long-time student, Stephen Vitiello, will assist me in the process, who has been working up this tune and checking my tablature the entire time. This is one of those tunes that everyone plays differently, and my hope with this workshop is to demystify what Omer Forster did so that each participant can work up a version that suits their ability and artistry.
