Check out the DPA 4099 with the universal clip mount. That’s what I’ve been using on a banjo for a few years and have been happy with it

I have used an AKG mic for years, and I believe it is the PA-70. My son-in-law makes sculptures out of diner forks, so I took one and made the bracket shown below. It's not as easy to bend the fork as some people think, but not that hard.
