I bought a few Silver Creek and Flint Hill dreads around 2008 - 2010.

Sold 5 and kept 2...a SC mahogany and a FH rosewood.

Forward shifted X bracing and scalloped braces.

I've never given much thought to strings except to always putting on 13-57s by GHS or D'Addario, usually.

I heard Tommy Emmanuel on some show recently pushing his 12-54 Martin set so I bought 3 sets from JustStrings and put on a set on the FHG 27 rosewood.

I gained a slight buzz on the low E and A and added about .004" neck relief which cleaned things up.

I love the tone and the noticeable lesser tension in the chords.

Took it to last Thursday's jam and it had no trouble filling the room.

Took it to today's Steam Power Sail jam and capoed at 5 and 7 for C and G and a tenor difference from the other guitars.
Punchy,even with the capo on.
