I can't believe the difference in tone between my Deering Good Time and my Recording King RKO-3s. The Deering is bright and crisp and the Recording King is dark and Rich. It is like night and day.

Which one do you like best ?
I did some repair (new nut and setup) on one of those RK banjos for a student at the Folk School and I was surprised at how good it sounded. Really quite a bargain for a student banjo.
