WARNING - This is a gospel song.
This song was composed by George Thomas Speer in 1934. He was born in Georgia but grew up in Alabama. He was a soldier in WW 1. He and his wife composed hundreds of gospel songs. He was inducted into 2 gospel song halls of fame.
