Hi John,

As always, perfect! My Brother got Sonny to show that lick a dozen tmes. His timing was always the same but didn't always roll this lick and in my tab. Seems your syncopation is different, probably a different recording. The syncopation as I remember it close to what sonny showed us..Jack

Oops!

Lost it but here it is again as I hear Sonny's syncopation. No one will hear the difference but me probably but that's cool. I'm glad that banjo is now multifaceted and no longer stuck in Bluegrass or Clawhammer anymore.

As a teacher of Banjo it is more difficult because I can't keep up with the hundreds of new tunes that people are playing on banjo every day. It seems and a lot of it is Pop and Folk Rock and Global banjo styles...

Sonny is very nuanced in his playing. John Mark is straight ahead and super powerful and fast and he contributes a lot.  I like both players. Sonny is in his own category....Jack
