I don't know if this is OK per the mods...but here goes.
I am on a mission. A mission to fight Alzheimer's with music. A mission to celebrate how a musician with Alzheimer's can still play her tunes. A mission to share her music. A mission to help people living in senior facilities. A mission to bring a ray of light, a ray of music, into their lives.
Since late 2022 I have been running a fundraiser to document and share the sessions I have...almost every day....with my partner...who has Alz...Jill McGlauchlin. Here is the link to that fundraiser...if you are so inclined as to help out...then thank you very much!!

I am happy to tell you that the first vid was shot last week and should be released late March/early April...I am not yet at my fundraising goal...nevertheless I have enuf funding that I am committed to doing all six sessions...plan is to shot one vid per month for six months
Here is a link to some free publicity we got with a local TV station

Both Jill and I were happy/comfortable with the first vid shoot...tho we gotta see what the tape says...the tape doesn't lie...inasmuch as JIll and I have been having sessions 5-6 days a week...for almost two years...that's like 100 weeks x 5 = 500 rehearsals...even if I account for some missed sessions I still figure at least 400 rehearsals...no wonder we were comfortable...
if the mods deem this inappropriate I will accept that...I wasn't sure which heading I should post it under...or even if the mods would be OK with me posting it anywhere here on BHO...
I do deem it appropriate for Old Time...when someone asks Jill what kind of music we are playing she invariably responds "old time"...and that is good enuf for me
fiddle/banjo duets...with a lot of vocals...I mean caterwaullling:)
