5th Kyle Creed Banjo Show, September 23, 2023 10am - 4:30 pm with free admission at the Beulah Community Center 5436 W. PIne St. Mt. Airy, N.C. Later that evening from 7pm - 10pm we'll be hosting a Round Peak oldtime square dance with my band, The Round Peak Boys with Kirk Sutphin on fiddle, Chester McMillian on guitar and myself on banjo. Free admission to the dance with donations accepted to support the Beulah Community Center. The Community Center is within a mile from where Kyle was born and raised and was the place where many dances was held featuring all the great old Round Peak players of the past.
We've had some very interesting Kyle banjos to surface during the past shows.

I am happy to see this Kevin. I was talking to Stanley, he is local to me, and found out he is Kyle’s grandson, and he sent info about this to me. I plan on coming out, though I don’t have a Creed banjo, it will be cool to see them, hear you play, and catch up with Mac (I have one of his banjos).
PS: I went to figure out how you are playing Roving Gambler on your album, are you in double D?

Looking forward to seeing you. Stanley is a great feller, we think the world of him and Kyle would be so happy that his grandson is playing the banjo! We'll have alot of Kyle and Round Peak stuff on display besides his banjos.
Yeah, I'm playing Roving Gambler in double D. I learned it from a home recording of Fred Cockerham.

Thanks Kevin! I thought it was DD! When I started researching it, so many play it in G, but it sounds great in D, plus I can sing it :-) Ill learn it from your recording, since I bought it already, but now gotta go find Fred’s recording.
Stanley reached out to me about a local jam we have in Fredericksburg, and participating in it, hope he goes!
