In search of a j.d. crowe case Trapper knife. There were 60 made and would like to purchase one if someone happens to be willing to part with one.

I think the first series was limited to fifty knives. The second and third series had sixty I believe. J. D. Crowe was at Red Hill Cutlery, Radclife(SP?), KY signing the paperwork the knives were wrapped in. I believe it was the last of the series where J. D. was present. I missed out on the first series but have the second and third. I had J. D. sign the knives, his book, and a banjo head while there.
He was a good guy and a great banjo picker. You may want to contact the people at Red Hill, they may have information for you.

I too would love to have one. I collect Case knives and the J.D. Crowe model would be a great addition.

Yes, there were actually 3 styles that I've found. I have the other two. The red one.

I Have a red case with the lable ( Bear & Son cutlery) with a bone handle. Blade and handle signed by JD. Paper work says Jackonsville AL

Sorry Tyler the knife /w paper work is displayed in a shadow box along with signed gibson label and remo weatherking head couldnt break up the display.
