This is a good example of Afro-American Old-Time music. They were also influencers to Carolina Chocolates Drops.

I got to play music with them back in the late 80's early 90's when I lived in NC. Kind gentlemen. Joe was a fine fiddler. Took my fiddle from me and tuned it to his cross tuning that he was in, gave it back and said, "There, now you can play with us."! And Odell's singing...
