Howdy all,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, or if it's OK to post this at all. I hope this doesn't run afoul of agreed upon standards of forum usage!
Friends of mine, Robyn and Mike Burns, are running this year's Wallowa Fiddle Tunes Camp in beautiful Wallowa, OR, and I'll be teaching a beginner clawhammer banjo workshop there.
Like many camps in what I hope is the beginning of the post-COVID era, our registration numbers are a little low, so Robyn asked me to post information about the camp here on BH.
Expect an intimate, low-key, highly social camp in a gorgeous setting. The vibe here is less Weiser and more Stickerville. There are both bluegrass and old-time workshops. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have or to put you in touch Robyn.
I've attached a PDF with more information, and the website can be found here:

Sounds like fun. I have done more than my fair share of traveling for this year with two more trips coming up. The Jazz fest in New Orleans and possibly..., if we can swing it, Scotland in late August. However... My hope is that in 2023 I will be able to attend a few banjo camps so I can learn and be around others who can influence and inspire me.
So hoping this is a success and will happen again in 2023.

I was there the last time it happened at the Elementary School, before COVID made in person festivals tough to pull off. Really nice people in a great out-of-the-way location. Eastern Oregon is a real experience if you get a chance to go.

If there was anything on bluegrass banjo, I missed it.
If at all possible, take your banjo on that Scotland trip. Be prepared to play a lot of fiddle tunes in D, plus a few in A. BTDT, a total blast.

I attended it 3 or 4 times. Very nice workshops. Price was very reasonable. Got some solid clawhammer instruction.
