cloacas - that's somewhat reptilian or avian. some elasmobranchs i guess. innersting - whatever the case it is on the way to separation of church and state. attribution variable.

Yes indeed! We arrived there by way of Latin for sewer. However the comparison is apt. Sometimes eggs are produced and sometimes waste byproduct. Hoping this is an album of eggs.

yes - sewer it is, but revolutionary at the time. now evolutionary - like your music. after all, a banjo is just a stringed instrument with certain peculiarities which combine to create a particular sound. where it goes from there is where you take it. congrats.

Sounds like banjo in it's folk comfort zone. Listening to The Worst We Can Do Is Fall I'm reminded of Bellowhead especially in the horn arrangements. Prokaniac seems to have an East European element which reminded me of the Warsaw Village Band. Anyway it's great stuff and exactly where the banjo should be.

Rather reminds me of some of Tom Waits music. Thanks for posting it.

Excellent, you don't hear the musical saw enough these days. I nearly bought one last year but was dissuaded.

It's a beautiful instrument with one of the most unique tones in music. You don't even need to buy a fancy "instrument". Just go to the local hardware store and buy the longest hand saw you can find. I use a 26" Stanley fine finish. Pair that with a cheap cello bow & rosin, and voila! Instant ghost choir! Just be careful! Those teeth can bite!

Excellent! Thanks so much for listnineg and sharing your impressions. I had'nt heard either of those groups, but now I'm excited to hear what they make. People often ask us what bands we think we sound like and we're always at a loss. That whole "RIYL" section has always been a bit of a mystery to us.
