Here is a list of Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard banjo Serial Numbers and production dates I compiled from several previous posts. Any others missing or any info that is wrong?

1984 0003, 009, 093, 298

1985 330, 433, 467, 520, 532, 703, 740, (783 may be from 1986 time will tell)

1986 871, 910, 928, 929

1987 1027-Aug 1092 last one of this year

1988 1093-first of this year; 1138; 1229, 1349-last of this year
Serial number 1141 was the last of the “yellow” first run of Scruggs banjos.
Serial number 1142 was the first of the new model.

1989 1350-first of this year; 1518-11/18/1989; 1575-last of this year

1990 1576-first of this year, 1609, 1792-last of this year

1991 1793-first of this year, 1812, 1912, 1970, 1974-last of this year

1992 1975-first of this year; 1912; 1986- Jan, 1990; 2257-Dec, 2259-last of this year
(1984 is the last of the signed Scruggs models. After that signature was printed.)

I had an ESS serial #5009, ..the seller said he bought it in 2005. That's all I know.

I had ESS #1625 which was made in1990. It fits with your data.

I had 1244. It was bought in late 1989 at Elderly instruments. I sold it @ 1992 when I lived in V.A. Beach.
I saw that Elderly Instruments somehow obtained it again a year or so ( Maybe longer) and resold it.
Curious to know if someone on the hangout owns it.

I owned 871 for about 20 years. Bought it from Elderly new.
