I am posting concerning a banjo of mine that was stolen on 10/23/21 at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, GA (Towns County). The banjo is a Pisgah Rambler Dobson with a 12 inch copper pot, standard scale, no front fret dots (has side dots), antiqued hardware, & hawktail tailpiece. It had a black nylon guitar strap attached to the instrument with camping cord. It had a white snark tuner on it and a black paige capo that slides just behind the nut. There is discoloration on the copper pot from where the antiqued hardware attaches to the pot. Serial number is very likely #1492 with a production month of July 2019? (this info is inside the pot on a yellow sticker). It was stolen stage side right off the stand, so the case was not taken. Please contact me at erinworley123@gmail.com or the Towns County, GA Sheriff's Office at 706-896-4444, case #2110563 (Investigator Bill Conway) with any information. Thanks banjo friends!

Thanks! I never would've thought it would drive me as crazy as it has knowing that it's out there somewhere!

Is this your first instrument theft? I've been through this, and the feeling doesn't go away - even after losing prized instruments in '72 and '81.
One has to wonder what type of person would do this.
Lovely banjo. Hope you get it back, and soon.

People with self-respect can't understand thieves. They are people with no value in themselves.

Yep, this is the first instrument theft I've experienced. I will likely always have my eyes peeled for it at every music event I go to from now on. I didn't think it would affect me as much as it did!
