Just found Blind Boy Paxton and I was floored by his playing singing and style. I wanted to share him with you all. Enjoy

Dang! That's the first time I've ever fully appreciated one of those low-tuned early banjos.

Blind Boy Paxton is awesome. Had the privilege of talking and picking with him several years ago when I was just starting out. He was the last one up around the fire at night, and was already telling stories and playing music when I got up in the morning. Aside from his talent, which is immense, the biggest thing I remember is that he was so incredibly positive to be around. Fun, funny, and kind. That sticks out in my memory even more than his playing.

I played on the same bill with him several years ago. He and Andy Cohen did a bang up job in the concert.

He's is fantastic! There is a fair amount of him on YouTube, soak it in.

He's great.
I ran into him in the Portland, OR airport not knowing who he was.
Just a young guy in overalls with a banjo case. Struck up a conversation
and he pulled out his banjo (the one on the video) and played me a couple tunes.
Made my day!
