Hate to hear this. I have one of his Timeless Timber banjos and he was a joy to work with many years ago when I had it made. Met him personally at his shop outside Nashville several years later and had him check it out and dress the frets. If I remember correctly Huber was right next door.

Dang, I can only imagine that the invoice that was included with his latest banjo tuning peg order I sent him had something to do with it. ![]()
Robin is one of my favorite customers. Hoping that he pulls through and recovery is quick so he can have fun building banjos again.

Thanks, Jim for these updates. Will continue to pray for Robin and his family!
PS: When an update mentioned that one side of his head only had 10% function, it is important for many that may not know that our hearts at full function is only about 50 - 55%. 10% isn't good, but it is better when you know that 50% is full function. Robin will still have a long way to go and it is always touchy in the transition when the heart pump (impeller that helps with the work that the heart does) is taken out and the heart has to work on its own.

Prayers- I was shocked to get this news from a friend today. Praying for a speedy recovery

Rob would always ask about my heart!! I am in a transplant program. Responding to above, a 10% ejection fraction ain’t great. Mine is between 10-15 and I know how tired it makes me. Good news is that you can survive with that number. He has made 7 banjos for me since 2001. All great work.
So Rob~don’t be in a hurry about anything. It will take time. Don’t worry, relax, relax.
