I started the video and heard the background music and almost turned it off. REALLY glad that I did not. You answered some questions that I have really been struggling with and gave me some good direction. The thing I want to be able to do most is play really good back up. I get playing with records or at a jam and default to boom chick vamp or just roll. I don't get the licks in that I have worked on and don't get the run-ups that I want. Soooo, instead of working on one one verse/chorus together, I should break it down to one line in a song. I can loop one line at a time on Amazing Slowdowner. In that line I can pick ahead of time what licks, rolls, vamps or leads I want to do. Also I will learn different combinations for a line of G,G,D,G and other combinations of chords. Yeah, break it down into pieces you can do and slow it down to where you have time to think and do it. I knew what I wanted to do, but had been trying to bite off too big a chew and was getting frustrated because I was not getting it. Thanks Eli. I am seeing some light in the tunnel.

Free advice is worth what you pay for it, and here's mine: your video has a lot of really good information that gets overshadowed by some poor video editing choices, specifically, the frequent "cuts to black". I literally had to stop watching. You may have wanted to avoid the occasional weirdness from when you splice takes - believe me, they're much less off-putting, at least to me, than the frequent black screens. Fortunately, your verbal delivery is very good, so I could just listen. I did catch the cat at the end, and he's a winner.
