I have a what I believe is a bacon pot with the serial numbers 23135...…..does that sound about right? The tone ring has a 1/2 " overlap of the pot to the inside of the rim. A bacon dowell stick fits perfectly to the pot recess and square hole , but I don't have the original dowell stick to compare for the model number? Thoughts?

The serial number indicates a 1927 build.
The tone ring seems not original - and tension hoop is for sure not original - Bacon used Waverly E2 notched rings.

Sounds like it is a parts banjo .I was sure that the tone ring is bacon but now I am not sure. I might just sell it as a pot assembly and move on.
