I have a Bart Reiter Regent banjo. I would like to hear from anyone out their playing one of these as to what kind of strap they are using and where they got it. I just can't seem to find one that works right for this banjo.

I have a Reiter Regent and a Reiter Tubaphone. Both banjos have a strap wit leather tabs that loop through the brackets and are joined by screws called Chicago screws. Here's a link to Tandy Leather to show what they look like:

One strap comes from Deering. The other has no clear label, just the letters 'WL'.
I have had one of these screws loosen on my and almost case me to drop the banjo. I check them periodically now to make sure they are tight. I like these better than J hooks. I've not tried a cradle strap.

I am a big fan of Lakota Leathers. They are soft, comfortable, and don't slide around on my shoulder.

Put a dab of clear nail polish on the open side of your Chicago screws. Will keep them from getting loose. I would still check them occasionally but should help.
