"The Manhattan Minstrel" Eddy Davis playing and singing a lovely Basso Nova written by Louis Bonfa, the composer of "Morning Of The Carnival" (A Day In The Life Of A Fool). He plays wonderful Guitar. It's played on a Weyman Tenor Lute.
This is part 1 of a series of tutorials on the Form and Analysis of songs (Pop or Classical). Form and Analysis are the different ways that songs are written. Using this you can begin to see how songs are written in repeating ways. I have a series of these tutorials. Please study and ask questions. This is the first one of the series. Eddy

Eddy, I have a question. In your video, you called this chord-3556 a Cm6, or an Am7b5. This looks just like a Cm? and I'm not seeing the 6th in the formation, and I don't see the Am7b5? Can you explain how you are naming this formation?
Thanks Eddy, great video, and a great song.
David

Wonderful song for tutorial. Great information. I appreciate you going over this, helps me to understand the language (forms) of music much better.
The chord voicings are rich. Bossa's are so romantic and passionate, I need to learn this song.
I hope to hear more about the known forms like you touched on regarding Honeysuckle Rose B part.

Thanks for the sheet Eddy, I'm sure that will help me. I may not have had the correct chord in my question.
