I have a Walkman MP3 player that I loaded with backing tracks and would like suggestions for a speaker or battery powered amp to plug it into. The goal is to play along with the backing tracks while busking. All suggestions are appreciated. Keep picking.

On impulse, I bought one of these at a Sam's store some time ago:
Sounds great and battery lasts a long time. I think it would work for what you want to do. Mine cost $90, but that might have been a sale price at the time. I've only used it indoors so far to play stuff from my laptop. It's really light too, I think about 13-14 pounds.
