Hello again guys! I have another of my Dad's banjos and I'm having some trouble with ID. I know it's a vintage Framus purchased second hand in the mid '70s in Germany. There is a hand debossed set of numbers on the back of the headstock but they don't seem to align with other serial numbers I've seen.
The banjo looks to be a Framus Texan 5-string. The tuners have been swapped and it's got a clear 5 Star head, but otherwise it seems similar to the one on the website. The tailpiece is different though, with an additional bar closer to the bridge. framus-vintage.de/modules/mode...673&cl=EN
The numbers read: 59463 73 K
They are barely legible and are hammered into the finish.
Thanks for the help!

Forget about the serial numbers, Your banjo was made in Nov. of 1973. Please upload a more complete portrait or of your instrument.

Thanks! I assumed '73 but didn't think about the letter designation. That's simple.
Here are some more photos. My plans are to replace the head with a textured white version, replace the warped bridge (loose head it seems) and do a nice setup on it. Not sure if I'll sell or donate or what after that ...
