I am learning how to use Garage band. Does anyone know a good place with information on learning how to use it?

Try looking on YouTube for some videos on GarageBand.

There don't seem to be any recent books on GB except this free with email address one: thegaragebandguide.com/use-aut...arageband so it'll be mostly youtube videos like ancient said

But there's good books on Logic Pro X which is similar interface without a lot of amp/instrument models and plugins, might just convince you to upgrade.

I make all of my recordings with Garage Band using a Zoom H4n for a recording interface/mic. Works great. It's pretty intuitive and fun to "learn by doing" but shout out if you have specific questions.

If you decide that 8 tracks and limited features are restricting, the upgrade to Logic is $199. Interestingly, for that same $199, you can get Logic, Final Cut Pro, Mainstage, Compressor and Motion:

apple.com/us-hed/shop/product/...education

After you buy, Apple sends an email with 5 codes. Go to the App Store, enter the codes and the applications will start downloading and installing.
