Nice playing Wayne. I've tried a few times, and have never been able to get Crowley's to stick, I just don't feel it, maybe I will give it a go again.

Haven't contributed to the TOTM for a while, been a hectic summer! Here is my attempt at Cooley's. Cheers

Hey there - long time lurker, been wanting to post a totm for a while, but never seem to get around to it. But I just got back from the O'Flaherty Retreat and am so amped up I finally got around to it. Here's Cooley's! youtu.be/3aX_gehT1ys

Oh yeah! Welcome from out of the darkness of lurkdom into the kingdom of Irish banjo posting.

Nice tempo, crisp and in the pocket! Please post anything that you want to in the future.

I love O'Flaherty's Retreat and had to take a pass this year due to an injury and other things as well. Keep up the good work!

Awesome stuff Mark, lovely playing. It looks (and sounds) like you aren't resting your picking hand on the strings behind the bridge. It really makes the banjo ring!

Thanks guys! When I started out I used to plant my wrist on the head, but starting a few years ago I finally put in the time needed to get comfortable playing with a more floating hand.

I've really been meaning to learn John Carty's version of this tune from "I will if I can". Its a lot more interesting than the way I play it.
