I can't find Chris Sands strings, can anyone tell me where to find them. Thanks Larry

So they're back in production for real? That's great if the new manufacture does a good job. They were impossible to find for awhile as Chris Sands looked for another manufacturer. I really liked the Sand strings but, in the 5 years I've been a banjo player, the strings were hard and then impossible to find.
I switched over to Aquila "Super Nylguts" due to this problem and have been happy with them. Going from the smaller diameter wound 4th of the Sands strings to the unwound, larger diameter 4th string of the Aquila's took a very slight "getting used to" but I think I'll stick with the Aquila's at least until the "beta testers" of the new Sand's strings find that the strings are as good as the old ones.
I did have two 4th strings of the Sand's strings break, one at the tuner post but one mid-span. I tied a square knot in the mid span string break and it lasted until I switched over to the Aquila's. The knot, between the tailpiece and bridge, looked goofy but sounded just fine. I've never had a "Super" string break.
