Heya everybody! So, it's been a while since my last post, longer still since I started this thread, but I'm happy to say that I finally put a neck on my banjo (I had to cannibalize my Gold Tone 'A-scale' openback, but I'll be taking a trip up to Titusville soon enough to get another). All's I can say is "Wow, what a machine!" I wasn't so impressed at first, but as I'm sure most of you know, it takes some time for the parts to tighten, settle, and get broken in. Just a few hours after setting it up, there is a noticeable improvement all around, and it's got that "banjo sound" I was looking for: strong, pingy/plunky attack with a good, quick decay. Hats off to Mr. Ken LeVan!
