I posted a clip a couple weeks back of me playing FMB in G#.
I received very helpful feedback and advice and thank everybody.
I worked on it till I thought It was good enough to put on the H.O.
This is a first take so some mistakes are present,
but my up the neck breaks are much cleaner and timed better.
I'll be posting some more Scruggs tunes by the end of the week.
Please let me know if my playing is better and how to improve it.
Thanks ahead of time to everyone,
Nose.

Hey! Better than I've ever done.
Good for you.
Just curious:
Unless you're playing it on a CHEAP banjo, why is it linked to "Thrifty Banjo"?

For the amount of time you have played, you're doing great, but I think you would be well served by slowing it down and paying close attention to the timing on the inside notes on your rolls. You can be right with the beat and still be off with the fill notes. Slowing down will help you smooth these out. If you practice at top speed and are making mistakes or your timing is off, you're just ingraining these mistakes into your muscle memory and they will be hard to break later on. By slowing down, you will be able to play cleaner and in better time and as your muscle memory develops speed will take care of itself, without the mistakes. Listen to your recording closely and then listen to Earl play it and mark the spots you're having trouble with and practice these till it's ingrained. All that being said, you're progressing so much faster than I ever did that it's not funny. I just see you making some mistakes that I made and they're hard to undo.
