All I know about this song is that Pete Seeger learned it from Aunt Molly Jackson and taught it to his sister Peggy. The banjo is in sawmill tuning, tuned down half a step. Two-finger thumb lead.

Nice modal tune and wonderful performance here, Matthew. More and more I'm liking the sound of 2-finger picking and yours is inspirational! I don't know much about Aunt Molly Jackson so I looked her up: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aunt_Molly_Jackson.
