I was listening to good ole' Kenny Baker recently.......
Not this one en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Baker_(English_actor)
this one en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Baker_(fiddler).
And Jerusalem Ridge came on.
I listened to this version youtube.com/watch?v=JWySDSagHGU and thought it would sound good on banjo.
I then searched for a banjo version and all of the results were melodic versions, no Scruggs version.
I found this old forum post :banjohangout.org/archive/279214
Jim Pankey posted an MP3 on his take of the song in Scruggs style.
I listened to it and thought it was awesome but I wanted to come closer to Kenny's rendition.
So I slowly put together something in Am tuning ( Gm capoed to 2nd fret),

It still in the rough draft phase though....
so let me know how its coming along and any suggestions for improvements are appreciated.

I'd say just work with what you have right now. You have the basics there. As you slow down and get that smoothed out. You'll be able to work out the bugs and enhance it easier.
