Just got a Bart Reiter Regent Banjo.. But my Kyser Capo does not work so good on it.. Does anyone have a Bart Reiter who can suggest a good capo for this brand of banjo ?

Shubb works fine on my Bart Reiter Standard.

I have a Reiter Regent and have used Kyser, Shubb, and Paige capos. They all worked acceptably. I use the Paige primarily now since I can keep it on the neck at the nut when I am not using it. This makes changing keys in the middle of a contra dance easier.

The only problem I have with Paige capos is the sleeves tend to crumble on them with time. and they take two hands to operate.. I use a Shubb on my guitar and love that and it does not mark up the guitar.. I may ordered a Shubb... This Bart banjo has a slightly chunkier neck then some of my other banjos have had but I fell in love with it as soon as I got it this morning. And the Tone is even better then I expected. I played one of Barts older banjos that was about 20 years old ( a Whyte Ladie) and it was nice.. But this one I got today is even nicer... So happy with it..

The Planet Waves capos work fine on my Reiter Buckbee and A flat and they're reasonably priced.

I use a Shubb capo on my Bart Reiter 12" Buckbee. Fits like a glove!

I use Shubb and Paige capos on my Reiters. Either works fine. I favour the type that attach above the nut when not in use.

I use Paige capos on my banjo, mandolin and guitar and I replace the sleeves once a year. I think I get them at Elderly Music.

Go to your local auto parts store and show them the sleeve. They will cut you a piece of neoprene tubing that will fit exactly. Costs a few cents and lasts for years.
