TablEdit v2.76 c1 now opens directly all of the GuitarPro (3, 4, 5 & 6 - .gp3, .gp4, .gp5 and .gpx) and PowerTab (.ptb) files as well as TabRite and Bucket O' Tab files and, of course, all TablEdit (.tef and .tab) files.

Simply select the file type from the File->Open dialog.

Thanks for the info Steve...Jack  p.s. I remember writing Chet's songs many years ago using Power Tab...I found Tabledit much more convenient and luckily had Larry Kuhns to teach me how to really use Tabledit the correct way...

Just checked the TablEdit website this morning and 276 C1 is now available for download.

I have always loved the Tabledit program.  Use it every day, even now that I'm a technologcally challenged old fart.  Luckily, when I first started using it, I was a young, cutting edge, tech smart young turk.  Now the computer world has passed me by, but I can still find my way around Tabledit pretty well.  It's just that good a program.
