I learned the most cool thing today from looking at Al's pictures on Facebook.
We can slide the strap between the neck and pot! This makes so much sense for stability and ease! Don't know why I never thought of that!

Plus, it should make it easier to wind the strap around the pot to fit it into the case! I'll have to give this a go . . .

I have a Nechville, and it's my favourite practice banjo when my dear Denise is sleeping and won't have it. I need to take it back to Tom and have him work on it. We'll get there.... I mean, the banjo.
Best ~ Tom

Tried this trick last night - I saw that it would certainly work, except my current strap has these plastic connectors that won't fit through the available space. If I ever go looking for a new strap, though, this will be a consideration for sure.

Ha! I never noticed that, but thanks for the heads up!
I've got one strap for one banjo and have been thinking of getting straps for the others. Chicago screw straps are my preference.

I've always done it with mine. A nice little side benefit of Tom's genius design :-)

Finally occurred to me that I could just take off the neck, and slip the strap underneath . . .
