Nice one, Doub. I will enjoy these when I'm allowed to pick banjo.
Hey, how about a harmony to Keith's version? I used to do that with him. Do you know it?
Best ~ Tom

I don't but probably should, Tom! I just chose SC becuz a student wanted to use that tune as a form for improvising. I'm fairly terrible at learning others' ways of playing a tune .... My focus is on truly improvising from known Jazz constructs that help us all to play from within our own musicality. I know ! Not the norm !! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Doub, I'll go back, it's been years, and I do horrible things to it now, probably going back to Banjoland (Trischka), but it's all good. It's easy enough to figure out, but very subtle stuff.
Bill had a very pronounced way of bouncing, and he held to it throughout his career, well, depending on the tempo. That's a project for me, to get the B-part harmony back under my fingers, and I'll run it past you.
Blessings to you, man, I can't wait to play along to your vids.
Best ~ Tom

Doub,
I've watched your videos and what you are doing is exactly what I'm interested in. Do you have any of what you are doing in the videos down on tab?
Or is my only option to run the videos over and over? I would gladly compensate you if any of it is in tab form.
Your ability to use this theoretical mastery is fascinating to me.
Thanks for the videos, Mike Mason

Doub,
I've learned my android won't do facetime. I'm still doing some research to learn how we can communicate.
I think if I had an ipad I could facetime and I'll talk to a friend who does Skype. I'm an old guy, older than you are, so
I have to research a little on tech things.
Hope to be in touch, Mike

Good videos Doub! Ive always shown this to BG folks as relating to the 3 standard shapes, as a beginner primer in it. Once they get adept at that, the focus can shift off shapes into a more linear approach that moves connects the 'dots'. Keep up the good work. Its a hard sell sometimes to get folks to use any of this, from a theoretical standpoint in learning. ![]()

I don't really care if people like the approach or not ... I just feel inclined to share. If it helps someone or a lightbulb goes off in someone's head then great ! ....
