This banjo was made for me as a personal instrument, and it is, indeed, fancy, hence its name.

Many years ago, I had asked Mike to build me a "fancy fretless" and to use his own judgement, and this is what he came up with.  It is--to put it mildly--a gorgeous instrument.

It is in excellent condition and plays and sound great!  banjohangout.org/classified/54394

Wasn't  this the banjo first owned by Brahms and later Sigmund Romberg?

Actually, it was owned by a 13th-century tavern frequented by university students who loved singing in Latin.

(Incidentally, what a beautiful banjo!)

I believe Romberg added the dueling banjos scar on the head.
