Hi All,
I've got my sights on getting a Gold Tone BUB baritone Banjo uke. My tuning is Low G - C tuning 1/2 step down to F# B D# G#. This instrument has a 19" scale length with a truss rod. How can I determine what Nylon, poly Fluro, type string will work? No wound strings would be preferred but not manditory. I would also be interested in pushing it to the stiffer stronger side. Any suggestions?

Here's a link to a tension calculator. It lets you adjust variables such as tuning pitch string length and composition as well as string type.

Stu, Here's a quote from the Gold Tone website. You should contact Wayne and see what you need to accomplish your needs before deciding to purchase.
"Just about any alternative tuning is possible with the correct string gauge. We would be glad to figure this out for you, as it is important to make sure each string has the correct gauge to insure proper string tension for your intended tuning."
