Hey all, what's the difference in tone between their standard 20-hole tone ring and their "Megaphonic" 40 hole ring?
Also, what is the difference in tone between their new "Cyclotronic" ball bearing system and their old system where the tone ring sat directly on the rim?
Finally, I like to put a black head on my black Nextar. What is the difference in tone between the regular shiny black heads and the suede matte black head?

Some folks tell me the 40 hole ring is a little punchier than the 20 hole ring. I have used both and don't hear much difference. But you may may notice otherwise.
The wood rings, which are skirtless, once again to my ear, have equal volume, a little less sustain. The Titanium hoop version is more metallic sounding, much like a metal tone ring.
