I'm a really big fan of Ralph Stanley but I'm having some problems getting his rhythm down and I was wondering if anyone has some good videos or tips on Stanley style?

Stanleytone's tabs are very helpful. Also Hatfield Music sells a $7 book by John Wright with tabs and a short discussion of the distinctive features of Dr. Ralph's style.
Just off the top of my head, these seem to be important elements:
(1) primarily forward roll
(2) a lot of the Foggy Mountain roll (but with the index sometimes hitting the third string)
(3) the index finger is not limited to the second string as much, Dr. Ralph hits the fourth string with his index a lot
(4) lead more with the index finger
(5) I might be wrong about this, but I don't think Stanley does the alternating thumb roll or forward-reverse roll much, if at all

I'd echo RockyIsland's plug for John Wright's booklet "5-String Banjo Stanley Style"! - the first couple of pages of that dissect Ralph's picking patterns & there approx 37 tabs to some breaks.
Stanleytone's (Gary Bates) tabs in his photo section are amazing and pick up a lot of the nuances too.
I'd also recommend getting the Homespun "Banjo Of Ralph Stanley" & Steve Sparkman's "Stanley Style Banjo" DVD's.

You know , in all the tabs i have ever done of Ralph, not once have I ever run across those two rolls you mention. He does do a TMTMTIMT sometimes.(by the way , thanks to all for the nice things about me in your posts. I may like to play other styles , but I cut my teeth on Ralph, and he is and always will be my favorite style to play.)
