Interesting thread.    I happen to have  a Skillet Head, five Hubers, and two Gibson Bow Tie archtops.    I am also a lawyer so I am fully qualified to jump into this discussion.  :).    The Skillet ahead is an awesome banjo.    I bought it to sell in my new shop but I'm going to have a hard time letting it go.    I think Hubers are great banjos.    They are consistently excellent.    I do think both are somewhat overpriced.     I think a good reproduction could be built and sold for a lot less.    I'm tempted to try.    :)
